This mainly agricultural region, which is noted for its
family atmosphere, is much less touristy than many other areas and invites you to taste
real Spain.
Oliva is a small, friendly historic market town of about 20,000 inhabitants. Along
with amenities you would expect from a place this size, it offers you local restaurants
and shops, a daily indoor food market and colourful outdoor Friday market, which
resembles a weekly fiesta.
The gastronomy is wide and varied here too, with much use made of the amazing variety
of sea food and locally grown vegetables, not to mention rice!
Our 2 and 3-bedroomed apartments are situated by a beautiful sandy beach which boasts
blue flag status, in an area between mountains, orange groves and the sparkling
Mediterranean sea, They offer the ideal escape for your annual holiday or winter break
and a comfortable base from which to visit other coastal resorts, inland medieval towns,
quaint villages, ruined castles, nature parks and tourist attractions.
The area around Oliva beach is quite unique compared to other towns along the coast, in
that it is not over-built and remains quiet in winter and never over-crowded in summer.
Ideal for everyone, this 10 km clean, sandy beach is bordered mainly by natural dunes.
There is a harbour with sailing school, pool and restaurant, 2 safe play areas for
children, infrastructure for people with physical disabilities, first aid post and plenty
water sports for the enthusiasts. Also, Oliva has the best beach bars on the coast! They
open in summer almost 24 hrs, where you can enjoy a cool drink in the shade and listen to
music, without losing sight of the sea.
There are many other excellent facilities nearby including indoor sports centre, tennis,
horse riding, bicycle hire, a champion golf course, outdoor thermal waters, safari park,
go-karting and minigolf...... hypermarket, shopping centre and cinemas!. |
