Getting Around
For those who don´t wish to drive, we can collect you and drop you off at the airport. Once at Oliva beach, you are 1.5km from the amenities of the town, easy to get to by bus, or 30 mins flat walk. Although you don´t need transport during the summer months, we would recommend you have a car during the winter to get around easily.
Medical
Remember to bring your E111 form, which you collect at the post office in Britain, (and some photocopies) to be eligible for free National Health treatment in Spain. At Oliva beach there is a small medical clinic which opens daily during summer and twice a week throughout the rest of the year. There is a doctor who speaks English, but we can´t guarantee when she will be there. The health centre in town, about 10 minutes drive from our flats, is open all year round and has emergency doctors. Here again, one or two speak English, but we can´t say when they´ll be working. The nearest hospital is in Gandia, about 25 minutes drive.
In any case, we would be happy to accompany any of our visitors who have language difficulties.
Shopping
Except in tourist resorts, shops in Spain close on Sundays. If you are arriving between Saturday afternoon and Sunday, we can arrange to have your shopping done for you.
